Upper and lower lid surgery (blepharoplasty)


blepharoplastyThe procedure: The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia. The patient need not stay at the clinic overnight. Sutures are removed 6 days after the procedure. On day 3 or 4 the patient is started on special ointments accelerating the resorption of haematomas. The haematomas undergo complete resorption within 2 to 3 weeks. Until then the patient should wear sunglasses.

 

 

 

Tests required prior to the procedure:

  • complete blood count and ESR
  • glucose
  • coagulation time
  • blood type
  • urinalysis
  • HBsAg
  • HCV
